Chimwrap®
CHIMWRAP® The complete solution for the insulation of chimney liners. This
unique and patented product manufactured in the UK uses the most up to date
technically designed products, with ease of installation in mind. With a
thickness of just 12mm, it allows installation within the tightest of stacks.
The inner lining of ChimWrap™ is manufactured using long strand textile grade
borosilicate glass fibre, which
is mechanically consolidated to form a felt product. This will not only give a
peak operational temperature of
550°C but is also capable of withstanding severe thermal shock. The product is
stable in arduous
environments and does not accelerate corrosion of metallic components. Contains
no binders or resins that
can volatilize.
The outer fabric, manufactured from E-glass, is heat cleaned giving a golden
colour which actually reduces
smoke development and prevents volatilization. The product can withstand
operating temperatures of up to
550°C and because there are no flammable binders, the product is completely non
combustible.
Thermal Properties
The outer fabric and inner lining both comply with BS 476 part 4 non
combustibility and part 7 Class O building regulations.
